"World's Most Evil Killers" series does the first-ever TV episode on the Benjamin ("Tony") Atkins case

A couple years ago, I did interviews for two episodes of the UK-produced "World's Most Evil Killers" TV series, which streams on a bunch of platforms here in the U.S. (Fawesome, for instance). One episode was on John Eric Armstrong and one was on a killer from the area of Michigan where I grew up, a case I remembered well as a child, that of Jerald Wingeart. It was a cold case that had haunted my small-town area. Those two eps were in Season 8 of the series.

Since then, I recorded interviews for two more episodes, and now "World's Most Evil Killers" launches its 10th season (series) this week in the UK on Sky Crime, including those two episodes. One is on Michigan serial Leslie Allen Williams, and the other is the VERY FIRST episode of a TV series done ANYWHERE on the Benjamin ("Tony") Atkins case. I'm really happy to see this come to fruition. It's a story that has not been told on this medium, and it's one that's meant to be told. I feel like this has been a sleeper case -- a lot of people who follow serials are aware of it, and Atkins' name is mentioned in discussions on serials, but the case has also been somewhat forgotten. And there's so much more to this case than people realize.

The producer just emailed me with the airdates, though she doesn't know yet when the eps will premiere in the U.S.:

  • The Atkins episode will air in the UK at 9 p.m. on Sky Crime on the 2nd of December 2025.
  • The Williams episode will aired 23rd of December 2025, same time and channel.

I'll post when I hear of the U.S. releases. Thanks very much to Janette at Woodcut Media for shepherding this through from start to finish -- she's good at what she does!
