Writers on the River: Some pics from this past Sunday's event

When I saw that there were 53 authors there, I was impressed. I knew there were a lot of us, but I'm pretty sure that is the most authors at an event that I've ever attended. And what a nice event it was -- with friendly staff, refreshments provided for us, good advertising, a nice setup. Gerry and I were happy to be there. We left with fewer books than we brought, so that's always a good thing! These signing events tend to be more about the marketing than the sales, so I'm always happy when we're in the positive. Evidently there were about 200 attendees, according to the local college newspaper, so that's awesome. Gerry and I got to talk to quite a few great folks, and we learned some things, and maybe have some things in the hopper for the future of the books in the Murder in the Motor City series.

So a rousing thanks to all the staff at the Ellis Library and Reference Center in Monroe, Michigan, and the Monroe County Library System, for hosting us this past Sunday for the Writers on the River event. (And check their TikTok -- they were shooting a bunch of individual author videos for it.)

Here are some snaps from the event. I also posted a walk-through vid on my YouTube channel, but after I shot it, I realized there were a bunch of tables set up around the corner and around the bend! So this is the perspective of only like half of the authors that were there.
