Check out the new book of my writing partner and friend, Gerry Cliff!
He was the one behind the idea of my first true crime book, "The ‘Baby Doll’ Serial Killer: The John Eric Armstrong Homicides," because he worked the case for Detroit Police back in 2000 and always knew it would make a great book. Well, it did, and then there was another case that he worked for DPD back in the day and for which he carried around files for years, thinking that would make a great book, too. He begged me and begged me to take on that project, too, LOL, but life was not turning me in that direction at that point. So he up and wrote it himself! And I'm so proud of him! He has captured a truly captivating case -- who could possibly believe there would be multiple serial predators at work in the Motor City at the same time? He has documented it for future edification. He has chronicled it for the curious. And now it is live and out there for you to check out!
"Serial City: Detroit and the Hunt for Multiple Serial Predators" takes you inside Detroit’s Major Crimes Division as a disturbing picture began to form in the 1990s. As detectives compared reports, victim statements, timelines, geography, and behavior, one investigation became something far more difficult than a search for a single suspect. The city was not hunting one predator. It was hunting several.
